Background[]
Kurt was hired by McCandless as a hired gun, in his quest for riches in The Darks, however once they reached the fog outside the Redoubt, he and the others quickly rebelled. Although he was injured in the fight, he was able to escape, and warn The Trader, and his crew as to what to expect when they arrived at the redoubt. He eventually succumbed to his injuries.
